Ikebukuro Cinemachi Festival, a film festival to be held in Tokyo's Ikebukuro district November 6th through the 8th, will feature an all-night Gundam marathon on the 7th at Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro.
Ikebukuro Cinemachi Festival, rather than a competitive event with a panel of judges, lets film fans enjoy Ikebukuro and Ikebukuro locals enjoy new films. Now entering its second year, the list of participating locations has grown to include Naka-Ikebukuro Park, five local theaters (Cinema Sunshine, Ikebukuro Cinema Rosa, Shin Bungeiza, Ikebukuro Humax Cinemas, and Cine Libre), and Wacca Ikebukuro, along with local bars and restaurants.
This year's schedule includes a special focus on animation, with appearances by voice actors and production staff at screenings and in Naka-Ikebukuro Park.
The November 7th all-night showing is scheduled to feature
Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam A New Translation II: Love is the Pulse of the Stars
Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn
episode 7, and
Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin
parts I and II.
Ticket details will be posted to the
Ikebukuro Cinemachi Festival 2015 official site
as they're announced.
