Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin now available digitally! Pick up volumes 1-3 on June 26th!

The first three volumes of Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin, the hit Kadokawa Comics Ace series with over 10 million copies sold, are now available via digital distribution.

Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin, written and illustrated by Mobile Suit Gundam character designer Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, is an alternate retelling of the events of the original Gundam series. An anime adaption is planned to begin in spring of 2015.

Volume 1, "Activation", covers Amuro's first moments in the cockpit of the Gundam. Volume 2, "Combat", tells the story of White Base's journey from Side 7 to Earth, and volume 3, "Garma (Part 1)", is the first part of Amuro's clashes with Garma's forces.

Yoshikazu Yasuhiko himself has also produced a new illustration to celebrate the digital release.
