The Gundam statue rises again at DiverCity Tokyo in spring 2012!
Namco Bandai Holdings, Bandai, Sunrise, and Sotsu have announced that life-size Gundam will return to Odaiba at DiverCity Tokyo, to be held in the RInkai area next spring.
Originally erected in Odaiba's Shiokaze Park for summer 2009's Green Tokyo Gundam Project, this 18-meter-high life-size Gundam statue drew 4.15 million viewers over 52 days.
Now, that Gundam returns to Odaiba three years later in spring 2012, bearing thanks for Gundam fans.
The Gundam statue will serve to promote both the general greening of the Tokyo metro area and the 29th National Urban Greening Fair Tokyo, to be held from September 29th through October 28th, 2012. It brings joy to both Tokyo and Japan as a whole, and marks the way to the building of future Tokyo.
