The iPhone game 'Gundam Aria Wars' is now on sale from Namco Bandai Games!
Use your camera and gyroscope for augmented reality tactics featuring full-scale mobile suits in your city!
The iPhone online game 'Gundam Area Wars' from Namco Bandai Games, which uses the iPhone's augmented reality and GPS functions, is available from the App Store beginning October 1st.
In Gundam Area Wars, a strategy game, players complete missions to shoot down enemy mobile suits and capture enemy bases, increasing their own squadron's might and influence. Using the camera and gyroscope, augmented reality will bring the front lines of mobile suit combat to your own city! (Augmented reality function only available on iPhone 4)
By using the GPS function, players can also receive Local Data missions, Special Missions linked to the time and weather, and other ARG (Alternative Reality Game) content linked to real-life condition, significantly broadening the scope of the game.
■ See mobile suits in the real world with the AR System!
When playing on an iPhone 4, simply touch the AR button after drawing close to an enemy mobile suit on the map and look through the camera viewfinder to see it towering over you!
■ Convert the mobile suits you've acquired in-game to digital figures! 'Mobile Suit Collection'
The mobile suits players are rewarded with for completing missions can, via the magic of the AR marker function, be placed as tabletop-sized 'digital figures' which appear, shoot, and battle before your very eyes, inside or outside of missions!
■ GPS-based Local Data Missions
Take your mobile suits out on a sortie into the real world with Local Data Missions, join in Special Missions at night or in the rain, and participate in a variety of ARG content linked to real-world events that bring the world of Gundam to life.
